Julia Tabakhova is an independent artist. She is born in France and made her studies in Switzerland at the Visual Arts department of the écal in Lausanne, and then in Zürich in Postgraduate study at the HGKZ in New Media department. She is now a resident artist in Zürich and she works and lives between Zürich and Paris.
As an author, she handles tools allowing her to produce and direct her own projects. Her pluridisciplinary skills are featured in a very high standard variety of research in Art, Science and Communication.
Julia Tabakhova is involved in a Paris based collective ( JPPClub ) where she makes researches and works with artists, engineers and scientists in projects such as Shakespeare Machine and Too Big For Texas creating and exploring plenty of situations, facilities, installations, films, songs, objects, drawings, photographs, games, virtual worlds, texts, synthesis images , softwares, electronics, websites... By her multifaceted nature she is always looking for outstanding projects...
